U of A Medical Isotope & Cyclotron Facility

The Balmoral repurpose project took place at the former home of the Balmoral Curling Club on South Campus. This facility was built in 1957 and now houses a cyclotron (particle accelerator) that can produce the world’s most important isotope in a safe, effective, reliable and cost-effective way. This project included clean rooms, extensive grounding and state of the art equipment to be connected.
